Countdown timer
Set any length — hours, minutes and seconds — or tap a preset, then start. When the countdown reaches zero you hear three beeps and the tab title flashes until you come back, so it works even while you are looking at something else.
When the time is up you hear three beeps and the tab title flashes — no account, nothing to install.
Why this countdown does not drift
Cheap timer widgets subtract a fixed step every time a browser timer fires, and browsers deliberately delay those timers in background tabs — sometimes to once a minute. Over a long countdown the errors add up and the alarm lands late. This timer stores the target instead: every screen refresh recomputes time left = end time − now, so a delayed refresh only delays the repaint, never the deadline. More detail, including the limits, is on our accuracy page.

Frequently asked questions
- What is the longest countdown I can set?
- Up to 99 hours, 59 minutes and 59 seconds from the input fields. Extremely long countdowns are limited by your device staying awake and the browser staying open.
- Will the alarm sound if my tab is in the background?
- The countdown reaches zero on time regardless. The beeps play as long as the browser is allowed audio; if the tab was muted or the device asleep, the flashing title and display greet you when you return.
- Can I run several countdowns at once?
- Open this page in multiple tabs — each tab keeps its own independent countdown.
- Does it work offline?
- Once the page has loaded, yes — everything runs locally in your browser.
